Rachel & Jonnie - Loft Studios | London Wedding

Wedding

Epic London Wedding at Photography Studio Venue

'Love recognises no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.'

I knew Rachel & Jonnie's day was going to be something pretty special as soon as they booked me. I'd already photographed other weddings in their friend group (something which I love happening as a wedding photographer), so I knew it was going to be personal, friendly and with a huge party vibe.

The photography studio venue in London - Loft Studios - provided literally a blank canvas for them to add their personal stamp. I'm not going to lie, seeing the ceremony space when I first arrived in the morning with its spectacular velvet hanging and oversized floral display completely took my breath away. It was a photographers dream to photograph...in an actual natural light photo studio with infinity backdrop.

Rachel looked gorgeous and radiant all day in her beaded dress, red bouquet by Billy Loves Flowers, gold shoes from and epic headdress by Hysteria Machine. Her bridesmaids complimented her look, all with their own chosen white outfits and golden fan mini bouquets. And my favourite moment was when Rachel made an entrance on to the evening dance floor in a gold sequinned jumpsuit!

My most favourite thing about this wedding was how personal it was. From the wedding logo of two hands entwined (which Rachel had tattooed on her arm before the day) to the amazing ceremony hosted by Jonnie's dad, with chosen friends giving readings such as Johnny Cash's love letter to his wife June, and Tina Modotti's speech about marriage. I still get goosebumps thinking of Rachels brother plating Interpols 'Untitled' as she walked down the aisle to claps and cheers. This was one of those weddings that make you realise ceremonies can be anything you want them to be to make the act of marriage something pretty unique and special...

Party vibes continued throughout the whole day with outdoor speeches, the most impressive grazing platter from Grape & Fig which looked too pretty to eat, the candlelit trestle table wedding breakfast, evening cocktail hour and dancing in the courtyard followed by a brass band & DJ set to fill the dance floor. I could go on about this wedding but the pictures show the day as a whole, and I think you're going to love it and feel truly inspired to make a wedding anything you want it to be...especially in a blank canvas venue on the edge of London!
